On November 30, various groups protests against the surprise interment of Marcos in LNMB gathered at the People Power Monument in EDSA.
Protesters were mostly 'millenials' and joined by some former and current government officials like the recently-resigned head of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP), Sen. Leila de Lima, former DILG Sec. Mar Roxas, Rep. Edcel Lagman and lawyer Barry Gutierrez.

Noon of November 18, 2016, Former President Ferdinand Marcos has been buried at the Libingan ng mga Bayani with a surprise rite 10 days after the Supreme Court ruled to dismiss petitions against the move, voting 9-5-1.
The decision to bury Marcos came only came late Thursday. As the President has said he would allow the burial as promised during his campaign in Ilocos Norte.
Assistant Secretary Marie Banaag said in a press briefing in Malacañang said, "The President was so clear about that since noong campaign period pa and those who were opposing it were given the chance. They went to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has decided so it's up for the family of the late president as to when to bring the remains of the late pres at the Libingan ng mga Bayani."
